Packing tape should always be used. Duct tape and masking tape do not adhere well to cardboard. Apply extra tape if you’re packing something hefty.
3. Fill the bottom of the box with “packing peanuts/foam peanuts” or crumple up pieces of packing paper and place them on the bottom for cushioning.
4. If the objects you’re packaging are fragile, use packing paper or bubble wrap to protect them. Tissue paper should be used for goods that are particularly delicate, such as porcelain. A newspaper has the potential to stain.
5. Put everything in the moving box. Pack related goods together in boxes to make unpacking a breeze.
6. Overfill the box by packing it as tightly as possible.
